The reporter learned from Chongqing Traffic Report Group, recently, the construction of phase II project of urban rail express line 15 has been officially started, and it is expected that the whole line of urban rail express line 15 will be opened to traffic by the end of 2026.

Rail Transit Line 15 is the first urban rail express line in Chongqing. It is understood that Line 15 is divided into two joint construction. The second phase of the line 15 project starts at Zengjia Station, via Daxuecheng Middle Road Station, Daxuecheng South Station, Chenjiaqiao Station, Daxuecheng North 1st Road Station, Zhangjiawan Station, Logistics Park North Station, Jingkou Station, Lixue Road Station, Jinshansi Station, Happy Valley Station, and the terminal is the Jiuquhe East Station of the first phase of Line 15 (The name of the station shall be subject to the announcement by the relevant municipal departments).

The total length of the line is about 32.8 kilometers, and there are 11 stations on the whole line. And it adopts urban rail express vehicles with a maximum operating speed of 140 km/h and 25kv AC. The total investment of the project estimates approximately 22.659 billion yuan, and the planned construction period is 63 months, and it is planned to be opened to traffic at the end of December 2026.

It is reported that the second phase of Line 15 is under construction at Zengjia Station, Daxuecheng Middle Road Station, Zhongliangshan Tunnel Entrance construction channel, drilling and blasting section from Jingkou Station to Lixue Road Station, Liaojiaxi Bridge and Happy Valley Station, so as to make preparations for subsequent construction.

The reporter learned that the second phase of line 15 highlights the requirements of "internationalization, greening, intelligence, humanization". Combined with the actual engineering practice, it focuses on Station-Municipal integration, traffic connection, humanized service, green energy conservation, intelligent operation and maintenance, cultural design, etc.

In terms of intelligence, the second phase of Line 15 adopts technical systems such as intelligent station and full-automatic operation system. For example, the vehicle is equipped with passenger intelligent service system to display the car congestion, and to present the location of station toilet, escalator, entrance and exit, and to show the outdoor climate information, etc. Moreover, the vehicle is equipped with intelligent on-board air conditioner to automatically adjust the air temperature and humidity in the vehicle according to the internal environment and the number of passengers.

The whole line of the second phase of line 15 transfers with 10 rail transit lines, involving 9 transfer stations, of which the Daxuecheng Middle Road Station transfers with planned Line 17; Daxuecheng South Station transfers with Line 27 during the same period; Chenjiaqiao Station transfers with the running Line 1; Zhangjiawan Stration transfers with the long-term planned Line 19; Logistics Park North Station transfers with the planned Line 7; Jingkou Station transfers with the long-term planned Line 13; Lixue Road station transfers with the long-term planned Line 16; Jinshansi Station transfers with the running Line 6 and long-term planned Line 28; Happy Valley Station transfers with the running Line 21 (original branch line of Line 6). Multiple parking lots in phase I are under main construction

At present, about 88% of the land acquisition and demolition of first phase of Line 15 has been completed, and about 30% of the pipeline has been relocated, and 25 construction sites have been mobilized. There are about 1564 operation and management personnel and 286 sets of mechanical equipment.
